IbisTrace sells a one-time, individualized digital reconstruction service. This policy is designed around the fact that paid processing begins after checkout and is performed against your specific project.
1. Before paid processing begins
If you are charged more than once for the same project and tax year, are charged an incorrect base price or tax amount, or payment is captured but IbisTrace does not unlock the purchased reconstruction, contact support. We will investigate and correct duplicate or erroneous charges.
2. After paid reconstruction begins
Once IbisTrace has begun the paid reconstruction for your project, purchases are generally non-refundable because the service immediately performs individualized processing and may incur third-party lookup and compute costs. A change of mind, a lower-than-expected number of remaining manual reviews, disagreement with a good-faith evidence classification, or choosing to permanently delete a paid project does not automatically create a refund right.
3. When IbisTrace cannot deliver the purchased service
If a material IbisTrace technical failure prevents us from providing the purchased reconstruction, we will first make a reasonable effort to repair, rerun, or restore the service. If we cannot materially provide what you purchased, we may issue a full or partial refund as appropriate to the circumstances.
4. Tax outcomes are not a refund guarantee
IbisTrace does not guarantee a particular deduction, refund, audit result, preparer decision, or acceptance by a tax authority. A tax professional’s disagreement with a tax position, or an authority’s decision about deductibility, does not by itself mean the reconstruction service failed.
5. How to request help or a refund review
Email support@ibistrace.com and include enough information to identify the affected project and purchase. Do not email full bank statements, payment-card numbers, passwords, or an entire Google Timeline export unless support specifically requests a secure upload.
6. Mandatory rights
Nothing in this policy limits refund, cancellation, chargeback, or other consumer rights that applicable law does not allow us to waive.
